Faith Gilbert, founder of Letterbox Farm Collective in Hudson New York, launched the Cooperative Farming Information Project in 2013 with the goal of making the process viable and accessible. This guidebook, funded by the Northeast Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Program, outlines two types of cooperative farming: sharing resources, services on group farms, and collectives e.g. worker cooperatives. This guidebook also goes through different policies, agreements, governance strategies and land tenure arrangements of cooperative farming ventures.
